Biography & Career
Cary Nasatir is the director of the Nasatir School of Percussion, a private teaching facility in Castro Valley, Ca. In addition to the school, Cary is an adjunct faculty member at Patten University in Oakland Ca.; percussion staff advisor to three Bay Area schools; a percussion clinician for Ludwig Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, and Vic Firth Sticks; is the author of Praise And Worship Drumming... A Guide To Playing In Church (Hal Leonard Publishing); and is a frequent contributor for various music educator magazines & websites. Nasatir studied percussion in his home town of Chicago with Roy C. Knapp, Jose Bethancourt, Casper Boghosian, and Haskell W. Harr, and conducting with Manuel Piculas and Maurice Golden.Artist Events
